Rising Circle Theater Collective is proud to announce the four playwrights joining INKtank, now in its 9th year.

Under the co-facilitation of INKtank alums, Raquel Almazan and Monet Hurst-Mendoza, Rising Circle will assist writers with a major developmental rewrite of a single full-length play during the 12-week lab.  INKtank culminates in the annual PlayRISE Festival of New Plays, taking place in Spring 2018.

Emily Gardner Xu Hall is an actor, writer, and composer for film and theatre whose work focuses on feminist perspectives inclusive to people of colour. She is currently developing Untitled Cherry Orchard Musical at the Musical Theatre Factory. Her work has been seen at 54 Below, Dixon Place, IRT/New Ohio Theatre, Studio Tisch, and Rattlestick Playwrights’ Theatre in New Songs Now! Composer/performer: Black Is Beautiful… at Public Theater Under the Radar Festival. Acting: Stockholm (Hudson), Snow Queen (Triad), Light Princess (Arden); readings/workshops: Public, Signature, Ma-Yi, Red Bull, P73 and others.
